Important Info

What to bring:

  • Money – bring enough to buy camp merchandise and snacks
  • Bible, notebook, pen
  • Sleeping bag or bed sheets, blanket, and pillow
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, shampoo, soap, deodorant)
  • Towel and washcloths
  • Closed toe or tennis shoes for recreation and free time
  • Alarm Clock (Cell phones are not a substitute)
  • Clothes for recreation (Should not be able to see up it, down it, or through it)
  • Lip balm, sun screen
  • Required medications must be in their original container (over the counter meds will be provided by the nursing staff)
  • Camera (no iPods, SGL can take pics with their phone, throw away camera)
  • Sack lunch for the ride down to camp
  • Maximum of 2 bags – 1 may be luggage and 1 may be carry-on (each student must be able to carry his/her own bag)

DRESS CODE ENFORCED

Students are not allowed to wear the following:

  • Short, skirts, or short shorts (fingertip length, cannot be covered by shirt)
  • Shirts, shorts or bathing suits that cause one’s midriff to be seen
  • Strapless or bikini bathing suits
  • Low cut shirts that show cleavage
  • Deep cutoff sleeveless shirts
  • Tube tops or strapless shirts
  • No part of a bra may be seen
  • T Shirts or other clothing that promote anything offensive of use explicit language
  • Guys must wear shirts at all times unless they are swimming

What NOT to bring:

The following items are not allowed at Camp:  Knives, lighters, matches, fireworks, tobacco products, alcohol, air horns, water guns, items for pranks, weapons, energy drinks, water balloons, CELL PHONES, smart watches, iPods, gaming systems, and any other portable electronic device.  Any camper found to be in possession of these items will have them taken away immediately.  Parents may be asked to come to the camp to pick up their student depending on the severity of the situation.  Do not bring any instruments. Do not bring skateboards. We recommend that you not bring any jewelry, or anything of value.

Our goal is for WAKE to be a time for students to “unplug” from daily distractions and be able to totally focus on Jesus and building solid relationships with others. We appreciate your understanding about the items listed above.
